Default Beretta Z26 5.3L fwd swap

Just looking for another way to kill time playing with LSx cars.
Can't find anyone whose done this one yet.
Mainly wondering if it fits between the beretta fenders and how the halfshafts may or may not be able to be worked out.
I already have the z26. Now I just need a donor impala 5.3 fwd

You're probably talking about norm, but he was sticking a whole RWD vette powertrain in it. In the end he gave up.
I'm not looking for anything serious as that.
Mild cam exhaust 330HP 5.3 fwd would haul in this car.
Honestly the 3100 does pretty good for what it is already. Of course the car is lighter then todays 20 airbag impalas.
I just kind of think the car is sexy for a commuter and would make a fun sleeper toy.

I think it would kick ***. I have always liked those cars. My buddy in high school had a 5spd 2.8 liter. Is a standard shift possible with the v-8 or do you plan to use the auto?

I don't know of anyone (even beyond GM) that has a transverse manual transmission that is rated take the torque of the LS4 (320+ lb-ft).

+1. I'd love to see that, or maybe a V-6 Grand Am... Keep a quiet exhaust in something that you would NEVER expect to be nearly that quick...

Coming from a high power fwd turbo car I'd say go RWD. Spinning the front wheels isn't much fun really.

Grab your tape measure and see if it fits.

I would imagine you could use a GXP/Monte drivetrain/cradle and shoehorn it from the bottom. If the tape says it fits, Well...

Good luck!
