Default rebuilt tranny having some problems

I just rebuilt my tranny and put a ls7 clutch in my car. I put in the clutch before the rebuild and put about 10 miles on the car when I noticed 3rd grinding and I lost reverse so I rebuilt the tranny. Everything went smooth with the rebuild and I put the tranny in the car tonight. Thats when everything went to hell. I went to test drive the car and I couldnt get it into anygear with the car off, so I started the car still nothing. But once I shut the car off Suddenly I could go through the gears. So I was like weird, but whatever. So I popped the car into reverse and started her up. The car was kindof shuddering a bit and jerkily trying to move but it was freakin me out so I just shut it off without giving it any gas and before I fucked anything up and pushed it back into the garage. Does ANYBODY have any idea what the hell could be wrong. I bought the car in october and really havent been able to drive it yet and its starting to **** me off

If the unit will shift through the gears with the engine off but will not with the engine on, it sure sounds like the clutch to me.

It sounds like the clutch is not disengaging properly.

Check the hydraulics.

Its going to be hydraulics not the actual clutch more than likely.
