What timing chain?
Ok guys i almost have all my parts. im running low on coin this year do to buying all my nitrous stuff that wasnt originally planned into this setup to hold me over for a few years. I was just wondering what the most cost affective timing chain set would be to buy. Cheapest would be great but id rather use a better one if needed. Im just installing a vindicator cam and will only be revving it to about 6500. The car is just my weekend street warrior with an occasional trip to the track a few times a year. and i only plan to spray a 100 shot with it. I see alot of people run ls2 chains but not sure if the aggressiveness of the cam has any say in what chain i should use. Thanks guys im so close to having everything and the weather is getting nice finally i need to finish up my shopping lol.

Go to texas speed and look at the n motion timing set. It is a full set for 20 more than an ls2 chain. We just installed my cam with it and there is a lot less slop to the chain than a ls2 and also it is adjustable so if you plan on degreeing your cam you can.

Just run the LS2 chain man. That's what I use and it's more than sufficient. It was like 30 bucks, and when you hold it next to the stock one you can see how much beefier it is.

That is the JWIS chain (C5R).
If you are going to degree the cam you'll need an adjustable chain (single or double). Cloyes is one of the best single.
(One can adjust any chain as long as you really know your way around and you have a degree wheel)

Absolute best single chain/adjustable timing set is the Cloyes 3153-AL. The chain is better than the C5R. Only place I have found it is LPE. They are blueprinted and hand assembled but like $395. No slop and virtually bulletproof!
