Default How is your Turbo 350 holding up?

I went to the track this past weekend with my brand new Turbo 350 and made 23 passes on the 23rd pass it wouldn't go into 2nd gear. It caused me to lose the round(semi-finals) and a chance to win the big money.

I talked to my tranny guy and he said it sounded like it was the 2nd gear sprag.

We should find out what it is for sure tomorrow. I hope to have her fixed up for the Shootout this weekend.

Are you guys having any problems with the turbo 350's in the LS1?

I beat the hell out of mine runnin low 11's on motor and sprayin a 100 shot on top of it. I couldn't kill it. With so many passes are you sure your tranny temp didn't climb a little too high? Mine is a trans king off the shelf th350 with a reverse manual valvebody.

Coach, tell him to use a 700R4 sprag NOT a TH350 sprag. I run the **** out of mine with mid 9's and it's never let me down. I re-build it every couple months though.

Seems like I remember my tranny guy saying he did something like that to mine. I was thinking it came from a 4L60-E though. Anyway, my TH350 doesn't seem to mind running 9s at all.

Mikey is correct about the 400 sprag. Problem is, after you put that ~$400.00 part in the TH350, you have spent more than a good Th400. Course the 350 is lighter.
