Need LS6 intake install help ASAP
The only problem I am having, is I can't get the vacuum hose that connects to the brake booster off. I moved the metal clip and I've been pulling on it for about 30 minutes. This MFer is NOT budging. Any advice or alternatives to getting this off?

It's difficult, but it will come off. Maybe try and put a set of vice grips in it, not too tight - just tight enough to grip it, and try and get the hose to slide side to side. Its stuck on there from not moving for 10 years.

THanks for the quick responses. I actually thought of trying the screwdriver thing, but got side tracked when I punctured the top of my hand. I'll go try that in a sec.

since the 4 intake back screws cannot come out, I recently put 4 hand rags between each screw to hold them up. It was cake when I removed the intake. Like everyone else said, be gentle and patient removing and lift up the booster hose.

Next time, us a small screw driver or pick and insert it part way, then spray some WD40 or silicon into the opening and work it around. Spray more as needed and is should come off. You can also use one of the tool designed for Radiator and heater hoses, they look like a thicker ice pick but with a few bends in it (90Deg or so).
But just keep working it with WD40 or something, Even Carb Cleaner helps.

well, after a full day of work...I finally got the intake out of my car. I don't think I broke anything. It was hell getting the back bolts. I'm guessing my engine sits higher because of my solid motor mounts causing much more hardship. It took me around 2 hours and a pint of blood for the back bolts.
Now the funny part...I'm reinstalling my stock LS1 intake tomorrow, because of a mix-up from a purchase. What I thought was a LS6 intake, ending up being a 97-00 corvette LS1 intake manifold without EGR. Part # 12556333
Please, someone tell me this is actually a LS6 intake manifold...and that I read incorrect information from numerous sites.
