Found a spring-lock in my oil...

Found a spring-lock in my oil... I changed my oil last night and this came out of the drainhole... one of the semi-circle shaped locks for the valvesprings... how bad is this?

If you've done a cam and/or spring swap lately did you happen to lose one in the process? If not DO NOT run your car anymore until you fix the problem. It will drop a valve at any time if you are missing one.
pull the valve covers now! If you drop a valve, it will be BIG bucks and a BIG headache to fix things.
