your offset isnt what it should be, so its causing the wheels to tuck. a spacer or new wheels is the only way to fix this

OEM spec 9" or 9.5" wide wheels have around a 56 mm offset, which gives the "tucked in" look.

Way to fix:

Less Expensive: Run a hub and wheel centric spacer with longer and stronger wheel studs. Assuming they are 56 mm offset, one can add up to a 3/4" spacer to get the wheels to fill out the well.

More Expensive: Buy new wheels with a smaller numerical offset, such as ZR1's with a 38 mm offset.

I say purchase the 17x11's and run 315's out back. Sell the current rear wheels to minimize out-of-pocket expense. Keep the tires to replace the fronts of course

both would work. when my dad got his 00 ta it had the top style spacer on the back. it worked. but i have used the bottom style also. i would buy whatever is cheeper myself. but make sure u buy longer studs.

i would personally go with new rear wheels instead of a spacer....more expensive? sure. but i'd rather pay more money for new wheels than add unsprung weight.....

So are you referring to new rear wheels of the same size? Cause 17x11's are gonna add unsprung weight.

If you would PREFER the 17x11's run what ya got until you can afford them. No sense in buying spacers and installing longer studs only to toss 'em when you get the larger wheels.
