People w/ TR230, what heads are you using?
I have a TR230 cam I going to be putting in my Firehawk along with LT's, LS6 intake, U/D pulley and P/P TB.
I am debating on getting a set of budget heads, probably PRC 2.5 5.3 or LS6 heads.
I did some searching last night and found some threads w/ people using the TR230. One guy put down 440rwhp with stock 243 heads. IMO that's a lot and seems like a freak to me. I have seen several people put down close to 400rwhp w/ bolt ons.
Thanks for any input.

Yup, stock LS6. I think any head will work well with this cam as long as they aren't hogged out huge runner heads. I had great results with both stock 241 and stock 243 heads. I would check out Advanced Inductions CNC LS6 heads with stock valves. I plan on having them port my heads like that so I can keep the lightweight LS6 valves and keep a small runner size. Good luck,

its a TR230 with the PRC LS6 heads. no milling. it has 42 LB injectors and a walboro pump. I am missing a couple bolt ons (Ported TB, UD pulley, EWP) everything else is there though, as well as supporting mods for the cam (ported pump, springs, etc...). the exhaust is LTs with a catted Y into LM1. i would love to go catless true dual which is my plan for the future. the car also has a hybrid wet kit with 100-125 jets in it usually.
Sadly, i haven't gotten the car to a track yet. Southern california is garbage for any decent tracks. A couple hours away is Fontana, but i have been so busy i haven't gotten up there yet. With some times and a decent launch i think i could see some good times out of her, 10 bolt willing, lol.

I spoke with Thunder Racing and they said AFR 205
Texas Speed said their LS6 2.5 heads
I talked to Tooley at TEA. He was the only one that said with the reverse split cam the exhaust port is really important. He suggested their stage 1 or 2 ported factory heads or the as cast Trick Flow heads, but I would have to buy rocker arms. At that point I would have almost 2grand in the heads.

Damn good numbers.
I would think a guy with a good set of heads could hit 430-440 but maybe thats being hopeful.

i would definitely like to see some results with AFR 205 and a reverse split cam.
