Default Summit prostars are on the car

Got the wheels/tires on today, 15x4's up front and 15x8's out back with 275/50 M/T's. Also have been making a fiberglass pin-on hood for my car that is in the pics. Still needs to be sanded and the fitment needs to be adjusted. Weights about 17lbs, compared to the 50lb stocker.

I am now a member of the "Too much traction, not enough horsepower" club...stall converter is next on the list.

Like the wheels. Looks like mine. 15X4's and 15X10's on mine, same size tires.

There are a few posts about weight on these wheels with some differeing information. I just have a regular scale and it's not that sensative so i had to to weigh myself and the wheel/tire and then subtract my weight....still probably not that acurate. I got the 8 ply fronts so they are a little heavier. Only saved about 12lbs per side on the fronts over my stock 45lb wheel/tire combo. Backs weight right around 45lbs, if not a couple pounds heavier per side.

Any pictures with the hood off so I can see where you mounted your pins?

Here ya go. I used left over mounting bars from my trans cooler for the back pins....a little ghetto, but it's all I had at the time. If it shows signs of fatigue I'll do something else with some angle iron.

Thanks. My brakes are pretty worn, so no grinding on the fronts with plenty of room to spare and very minimal grinding on the rears were required. The center caps stick so far out, it just looks awkward to me, so I am running without them. I plan to try and cut them down so they don't stick out and they look more like the greg weld center caps, but we'll see how that goes.

What backspace did you summit prostar guys use? The biggest backspace I saw on summit was 6.5.

15x8's have a 5.5 backspacing, that is what I used. As you can see it is close, but they do come out flush with the fenders....they don't stick out.
