new cam and duel springs?
hey guys i just put a cam and duel springs on my 98 camaro and noticed alot more valve train noise, mostly sounds like lifter noise. the cam has less than 600 lift and the car doesnt have any sound dampening on the fire wall so its easy for me to hear. is this normal?

ive noticed the noise is worse as the car gets hotter. im going to change oils and see if it changes any. it has 40 psi at idle so it cant be that.

My valvetrain quieted down after a couple thousand miles but really had me worried at first. The more agressive cam lobes snap open and close the valves faster and that accounts for some of the noise along with the stiffer springs. It's louder than stock but I have heard worse than mine.

i had some of the same issues and ended up trashing a good cam but it was due to a missing thrust bearing behind the cam gear. after swapping cams and lifters the noise wasnt there for about 100 miles but now its back. i think itl be ok now its no where near the way it sounded before.
