Default Hmmm, seem like a decent price?

Thinking about driving 4 hrs to check out a 2002 WS6 TA 6sp. Don't have a clue to what they're worth, so I'm here to ask the experts.

Here's how the add reads...

2002 Trans Am WS6 Ram Air with top of the line up grades, SLP long tube headers, SLP loadmouth exhaust, SLP intake system, K&N filters, B&M short throw shifter, Corvette Wheels, SLP Engine tuner, Custom Car Cover, PW PL T-tops, Alarm System keyless entry, tires 80-90% new brakes Rotors front and back, 59,700 miles 6 speed transmission with LS-1 corvette engine. 12,000

This is being sold from what appears to be a small time dealer. He had the car listed in January for $15,500, and is now at 12k. He doesn't seem to want to go any lower. Anyways, if there isn't any mojor issues with the car, would 12k be a fair price?

Your opinions and advice will be greatly appreciated. This would be my first 4th gen F-body / LS1 car.

id say 12 isn't bad, but try to get him down to 10.. that would be more reasonable.

pretty good price for the year/mods/miles.. it will also have an ls6 intake on it.. should run high 12s..

killer deal? not really.. a deal, yes...

if you have the money and its close to what your looking for, id jump on it..

you could get one with around 70-75k miles with a bit more mods off of here for around 10k... but you gotta be a little patient..

Yeah, my current budget is 11k so I've already tried to talk him down through email. I figured in person a 11k offer would be taken more seriously.

I figured I'd be hard pressed to find a WS6 with less than 75k miles for 10? I'm pretty picky as far as paint goes, but other than that my only requirement would be the 6 speed.

Doesn't sound too bad if thats the color and options ur looking. He probably has 12 or so in the car and seeing as how he's had it for a while, he's just trying to turn it so I'm sure if you offer him 10 or 11 he'll just show u where the door is. It is summer and it is a muscle car...he's not gonna give it away. GL man!

id pay 12k in a heartbeat for that car if i was still looking. make sure its not too ragged out tho. otherwise, you are getting a good deal. Last of the breed, and WS6... also a 6 speed. depening if its leather, its a perfect car!

Thumbs up

That is an interesting article... I never knew that but, I bet weight also has something to do with the C5 along with other components. That is great info though.
