Congrats Brandon!
There are some awesome designs in modular construction now. Its propobly where the industry is heading. Saves a lot of on site labor costs, saves a lot of materials that would normaly just go tot he dump.
And if you want to build a contemporary home, modular is where its at.

no pics of the layout. i thought about a stick build, but its was more then the modular.
the house comes w/ a dinky 1 car garage, so for now dads kart and mine will be in the garage, im planing on building a big garage w/in the next year
i was looking at homes for sale, but the market is soo f-ed up. i was looking in the 200-250 range and most of the houses werent even worth it. some even needed rolloff dumpsters and they were 230k. so i decided to find land and build and come out w/ a brand new house at a cheaper price then buying a used home

A good local agent carries multiple lines and often has one avalible.
Dont worry I am an Lic. agent that deals with 48 states, its a common question. Make sure he has it in line when he is ready to close.
And NJ insurance can be tough as well, some companies do not want to do biz or limit exposure.
Edit: After thought
Now also be that said, not all companies are created equal and when it comes to claims, not all companies will cover the same. I would def get 3 companies and research them.
