When to lap valves?
I have a brand new set of bare L92's with seats installed in them from GM. I also have brand new L92 valves to put in them. Should I lap the valves/heads? I was thinking of just using a fine grit compound if I did lap them. Any tips you guys might have are all welcome.

I have hand built engines before, mostly small block chevys. I just havent assembled a set of brand new heads/valves before. A few of the old timers said they use a blue sharpie on the valve and the seat to see how they mate. They tell me its the next best thing to the dye. lol!
