Question Will rims off a 99 Monte Carlo fit a 98 Trans Am

A friend of mine knows a guy that has a set of Tezzen 18" rims and tires for $200. He said they were on his 99 Monte Carlo. The tire size is 245/40R18.
Will they fit on my 98 Trans Am?
Please let me know. I'm suppose to pick them up tomorrow if they will fit.
Thanks for any help you can give me.

No the backspace is way different, I tried to put my stock 99 trans am wheels on a 2001 monte carlo and it didn't fit at all.

Even if those did fit......I'd pass unless they're free...no wait.. I'd still pass.

Those might just be the ugliest wheels ever. I wouldn't put them on my car if I got PAID $200 for it.

Ha I know I really don't like the way they look either. I don't have the money for the ones I want right now and those were cheap so I was thinking about getting them until I could get the one I want. Guess I'll just save that $200 for the ons I want.
Thanks for your help guys.

I believe the bolt pattern is incorrect too. I know the Grand Prix (same car) uses the Mustang bolt pattern instead of the fbody pattern.

We've a winner here. Front wheel drive GM use 115 (114.3 will fit) while F-body use 120.6. Backspacing can be fit by wheel spacer but bolt pattern cannot.
