Default WG Dump Question

Im going to buy flanges for my Tial 38 wastegate and didnt know if I will need two flanges or one?

I plan to dump to atmosphere on the WG outlet so is there any need to flange in any pipe on the outlet side or can I just let it blow right out of the gate?

I dont plan to plumb it into the DP etc, so am I ok just getting the inlet flange? Advice?

I would still run some kind of pipe off the wg exhaust just to keep exhaust gases out of the engine bay, so yes you would need a flange for it. This is a front mount correct?

I put my WG on the crossover pipe (under the truck) and it dumps to atmosphere straight out of the gate. No problems so far. I am not concerned with fumes under the truck, because if the WG is dumping....well then I'm hauling the mail

My gate's under my truck as well... I only have a 6 inch pipe off of it to point it rearward. Not needed, but i was bored, and my gate (ebay) came with both flanges.

Any times or dyno numbers on that truck?

I had to put an elbow on mine because it was blowing straight down out of the gate. I never knew there was so much dust on the hwy. I would leave incredible dust trails.

And so did you just aim it rearward?

Yes, I angled it so that it would not blow on the engine or ground

I'm dumping right out of the gate in my V6 eclipse. There wasn't room to come off of the gate since it's so close to the ground. Ran like that for a long time and the only downside is the dis colorization of the WG from the exhaust gases.
