Default L33 Datsun 510

I am getting close to finally finishing this up and thought I would post a few pics of what I have accomplished. The car used to have a 350 that I put in it years ago so this swap wasn't too bad. Any guesses to rearwheel horsepower? The car will weight about 2300-2400 lbs wet.

- 1972 2 door 510
- 2005 L33 40K w/ 1-3/4" long tube headers, bowls were blended on heads (#799)
- 700R4 with Corvette servos
- 2003 LS6 intake and injectors
- R200 rear diff w/ 3:54 gears
- 4 wheel power disc brakes
- manual rack and pinion steering
- cold air intake

Good tune, 93 gas, and you should have 325-335HP at the rears with stock cam. The L33 has good heads and flat top pistons. The #799's are basically 243's. You might want to through in a cam as well.

Getting ready to do an LS swap into my Datsun 510 4 door. Did you get this finished up?
Did you do any upgrades to the suspension and brakes?
Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Rob

I'm getting ready to do a 1972 Datsun truck that had an iron 350 in it. We want to use a stock 5.3 or 5.7 for my Grandson to drive to school.

Nice job on the little 510.

He's either dead or driving the pi$$ out of this thing with a BIG grin on his face!
I had a similar project in mind, too.
