Default exhaust questions

what all do u have to have to be legal as far as exhaust goes....i have hooker lts and 3 in mandrel built true duals with an H-pipe with flowmaster delta force mufflers dumped right before the axel....im bout to install this month and just wondering if its legal or not. thanks, duke

I'm guessing to be TRULY legal you'll need cats.

dont think its legal to be dumped, but who cares. and are you talking legal by cop standards or passing inspection?
when did you get that set up man?

when did you get that set up man?
well mostly emissions legal....and i got this from a guy in dallas prob in march....but been really busy....the headers are brand new and the duals were lightly used....look brand new tho....

cats, mufflers, out the back of the vehicle unless otherwise created from the factory. . .

troof, i had an inspection shop tell me they wouldn't even look at my car since the exhaust exited before the rear of the vehicle, and you definitely need cats as well, some places will let you slide on the exit placement, but most will not on the cats.

I say that because there were the mustangs that have the front of rear wheel exhaust exit. . .

Exhaust is one of the few things on my car that doesnt pass inspection..dont worry about makin the **** legal ive got a guy ive been using for a couple years that'll pass ur car regardless for an extra 20 bucks or so. Let ur nuts hang fool n start moddin that z!
