Default New Clutch... Clutch Vibration

Just put a spec stage 3 and spec steel flywheel on, has bad vibration from a dead stop.. low RPM. Put in new Pilot/Throw out.. Normal? Only drove about 30 miles so far. Any input, I have heard about Spec balance problems, but wasnt sure it this is normal for brand new clutch

what torque arm?
is the angle is off you can feel sorta like a binding right when the car starts to move. It shouldn't reallly change when removing the trans though

is your new FW "neutral" balanced or did it have the weight on it??

if your bottom end is stock you need the one with the weight on it.

Yea bottom end is stock and yes it has a weight on the flywheel.. Performance clutches do this when you first get them in? Clutch grabs real good, just if you try to ease it in you cant, just vibrates

As long as we are talking about chatter than it is in fact normal. A vibration that occurs at all times though isn't chatter. If this happens during clutch engagement, typically when leaving from a stopped position then it is chatter and thus nothing to worry about. If you have any further info or questions please feel free to contact me for assistance. Thanks,

Chatter is normal. Vibration is not. If you are sitting still, and not going anywhere and it is "vibrating" that is not normal. If you are sitting still, and you go to take off, and you get some chatter as you are releasing clutch pedal, than that is normal.

Yea it is just chatter, only does it from a dead stop and as I put more miles on it it seems to be getting better, only put 130 miles on it so far. Thanks guys, loving this Spec Stage 3 Clutch tho

It should continue to get a little better but probably never go away. As you get used to the higher grabbing force you can minimize the chatter by how you engage it.
