the car had a couple of issues, i asked him to lower the price each time i found an issue, and we came to an agreement and i bought it.. the crash bars and the front lip were in good shape.. the car did not come with the key fob, and i would really like to have one, can i get one and program it to my car? the a/c doesnt work, the fan comes on and the dual zone works, the compressor is kicking on i am gonna try to charge it in the daylight tomorrow.. the seats were in great shape! everything else seems to be fine.. the oil pressure is sitting on about 30psi is that normal? it was down a quart when i bought it, i went straight to the store and put in a quart, drove 450 miles of interstate and no oil seemed to be missing, but i didn't get on it too much, probably a total of 35 seconds over 3000 rpm over the course of the 450 mile drive.. oh and the check engine light came on about 150 miles down the road but everything sounded just fine, oil pressure still at 30 and the temp around 185-190.. i may go by an autozone and get the code pulled.. it looked like something was welded closed on the exhaust manifold.. like some sort of bung?

look on here to learn how to pull codes... you can do it without a scan tool on a C5...

i don't have a scan tool, but i did look in the manual for a change and according to the manual i have an emissions problem.. i am sure that the cats are gone or something and that is why the light is on.. how can i clear it and make it not read that code anymore? i guess find someone with hptuners is the only way? also the air condition system shows to be full according to the ac gauge i put on it, i tried to put more charge in it, but it wont take anymore.. the compressor is definitely kicking on.. i pulled the relay on the ac clutch and it kicked off and then i pluged it back in and it kicked on, so i can see that it is working, the gauge reads full, the blower is blowing hard, there is just no cold air.. i was thinking i may leave it running in one spot for a while and see if the evaporator was dripping water onto the pavement.. that way i could know if the problem might be the deal that turns the hot water from coming through the heater coil.. what do you guys think?

Congrats on your purchase.
As said before, pull your codes and post them on here. You can clear the codes too. Of course they might come back though.
It wouldnt hurt to take it to a corvette specialist near you. Join CF and you will find a lot of help in the c5 tech section.
good luck with it.

thatboyvic- don't mind saying.. got her for 15k flew up to rochester, ny.. currently in pittsburg, pa spending a few days with an old friend of mine who lives up here for another year or so going to ATC school. the car runs like a champ, the only issue it has right now is the a/c is not working and i got in the general maintainence section on here and posted the issue and have it figured out as a blocked orifice tube, so i just need to get a new tube and i will be back in business!

Awesome! I purchased mine at 14.5 and ac was having problems on driver side lol.. Ironic. I just charged her a bit and worked like a charm. I am in love. I cant see myself driving anything else anymore lol.. I hope you enjoy it for yrs to come! Maybe we will cross paths at a meet/cruise someday and I can check her out. Post pic when you can!
