Default lets see some spray canned gloss black rims... preferably 10 spokes..

hey guys.. so i dont wanna fork out the money to get my tires powder coated as of yet but wanna knowif any of u guys have simply spray canned your rims and how they look and if its even worth it..

this would probably be temporary unless i got pretty decent results..

and also would this affect them for the powder coating process...

pics and info are greatly appreciated.. tia

I painted my stock rims black with a clear coat, looks really good to me, I'll put some pics up after I get them loaded on my computer

As long as you sand and prep good you shouldnt have any problems

I have used Duplicolor wheel coating in a spray can and you will get surprisingly "decent" results. I think you'll be surprised with the result for the cost. I don't have any pics, but I used the dark grey. They also have clear.
Someone on here did vette wagon wheels with black appliance paint that came out very nice as well.

^ That looks like the color of the grey Duplicolor wheel coating that I used in a spray can. It resists stone chips and brake dust corrosion. You can use the clear on top for some extra protection if you like. I was impressed with how even the paint goes on.

I'll look for pics of the grey rim on the car...i painted the pair without tires mounted and the mounting didn't affect it. I did 3 coats (light) and then 2 or 3 clear coats on them. . .

Do you ever had 4 of the same wheels on the car I kid, i do that all the time. Nothing looks weirder than Z06 motorsports on the front and salad shooters out back
