Default Suggested gears for this set up?

All bolt on's, LS6 cam, true duals w/ Xpipe, 3500 stall TC. I'm thinking of doing 3.73's or 4.10's. All will be tuned. I will be running no more than a drag radial. thanks.

If you plan on a power adder like nitrous, and no bigger tires (like you said), then go with the 3:73's.
If you are not going to go with a power adder, you would be better off with the 4:10's.

4:10's will allow you to run like a raped ape on the street, but you will run out of gear around 115mph at the track (on stock tires) ... so if you plan on trapping higher then that, go with a numerically smaller gear, such as a 3:90 or 3:73.

Yeah, Phantom, I have to shift at the traps.

SS, are you A4 or M6?

A4 = go 3.73
M6 = go 4.10

I believe he said he's got a converter, so I'd go 3.73's

Cool. I was leaning towards 3.73's. Do you know what the rpms will be cruising at about 70-80 on the highway? And is there any need to upgrade to an Eaton posi unit. Again, I won't be running anything more than a drag radial and this is a daily driver. thanks or all the info.

One the highway @ 70 I turn about 2300 RPMs. I still get good gas mileage about 20MPG

OneBadz's got it... thats right where I used to run with my old A4.
Unless you are going to add some serious power or run slicks your auburn unit should be fine.

I got GM 3.42's. The diff between 3.42 and 3.73's aren't much but strength was a concern. However i have now learned that no matter what you will destroy your rear end so i spose it doesn't matter. plenty of 11 second 3.42 rear end cars (in texas, lol).

Shoulda gone 3.73 IMO. If it's not too late get 'em.
Your rear end, as an A4 suffers less abuse than M6 rear ends.
