Might Buy A Cobra......?
So TPSMotorSports built up and is selling their built black on black 2001 Mustang Cobra. For ONLY $15,000. Now I have always loved the 1999-2004 Cobras.. but im kind of feeling iffy on this DEAL! I dont like that its a 2001 because those were the years they were N/A. So its not a original Cobra with a Supercharger. just a basic Cobra with an added Supercharger. Plus it has a 2004 Cobra bodykit on it. Which I LOVE the looks of that body kit. But it being on a 2001 Cobra kinda changes things.... BUT $15,000 for a 530whp car......
I mean I bought my 2001 Z28 for $12,000 last year. And this things got TONS of POWER. I got a couple of friends who has seen it in person n they say it is REALLY clean n fast as ****. One saw it today driving down 85. And the other one has been in it and under it and all that. And he said its "clean and is well built with good parts." So im thinking me and couple of my friends are going to go to the TPSMotorSports car show July 26 in Cambell. Where it will be so I can check it out in person..
500 miles on motor and trans build.
8.8 solid axle swap
centrifugal supercharger
2004 cobra bodykit
new corbeau seats
530whp on a Mustang dyno

only problem is that if you want to do more to it you really cant that motor is pretty much at its full potential for a stock internals
but if you bought a 03-04 their internals hold to 800+ rwhp
also you can buy 03-04 for about the same price right now, and then just a pulley and tune and you would have 450+ rwhp

If by the same price you mean 5-9k more.
Ive yet to see a decent 03-04 Cobra (non convert, w/ less then 50k miles) for under 20k. Most of them being in the 23-27 range. And ive been pretty actively looking, but to be fair i havent been trying to negotiate people down much either. I usually figure 1-2k off their list price is about average.
I love the look of em!! If its something your just going to leave alone, it wouldnt be a bad idea. If your are going to want more, like stated above you might be better off with the 03-04. But ive got no clue what was done to the car.

it is a cobra, just not a terminator. But anyways you could find 03-04 cobras at dealers under 20k with decent mileage. Most are convertible tho. None the less you could find them for cheap. Also you have anymore pictures of the car??

I've been looking at cobras too, but they are still expensive. I'd rather have a built TA/WS6 but the price of a cobra or less. Dont get me wrong tho cobras a BAD ***! If I find a deal on one I may get it.
Like 2 years ago a friend of mine sold a 03 cobra for 10k cuz he really needed the cash
