Default Finished my Hot Side today. GETTING CLOSER!!

Spent a portion of the fabbing up my hot side for my front mount, thought it turned out pretty decent considering I am using a 110v Lincoln with no argon, plain old .035 flux wire. Only thing left I gotta do is weld on my wastegate, coat it and wrap it.

Be easy on my welding skills people! Getting a few steps closer. Hopefully have the motor back in sometime this week so I can start on my cold side.

So with the weld right next to the hole in the flange like that how do you plan on putting a bolt through there and having it sit flush? Obviously the bolt head or nut is larger to than the hole. are you going to tap the flange or what?

I hate using flux wire (probably because Im not too experienced with it).

Looks good though. It must be fun building the system yourself

If you are refering to the pass side flange, instead of using a stud I am going to install a 3/8" bolt about 1.5" long from the other side (manifold side) and use a header locking washer and nut. Fits like a glove.

look good.

are you going to brace the turbo or let the entire weight of it sit on the crossover? i'd suggest bracing it.

Yep, bracing it with 1/4" angle iron to block. take a few cuts and welds, but I will make it happen.

Appreciate it! Now if the welds hold up under boost, it all be gravy!
