Default Question about power drop off

I have the sts kit and the trt fmic, 42#, fuel pump, dual springs stock motor. Turbo is the ar 60-1 @ 10psi. Made 461hp and 480tq with an auto... But just after 5k rpm the engine droped power. The turbo still put out full boost. Is the stall the issue with this setup (going bad?). Never passed 85 duty on the injectors and iac was around 85-90 also PCM never pulled timing out. Thanks for any insight I recivie on this.

He says that it is dropping power but not boost. If it is holding the boost solid, the power shouldn't be falling off. I thought that an undersized turbo would loose boost as it can't keep up with the volume of air that the motor is ingesting. He may be blowing out spark.

Gap on plugs is .032 and were changed a few days before the tune. Trans is stock and the tc is a custom build I will post a picture of the best pull we got when I get home. And the boost kept at 10psi the entire run. If I'm not mistaken the 60 should be good for 600hp. But I am outside of the center graph for the turbo. Is there a way to test the tc to see if it's slipping?

Naw the 60-1 from sts is not going to net you 600 hp to the`wheels. If power is good down low and not up top then the turbo is out of breath the graph will tell it all. If the TC is slipping it will unload the turbo and boost will fall down as well as speed and you would smell it in a heart beat.

Yeah that turbo is done its not going to do better after 5.5krpm Your numbers are not that bad for a stock motor and a stall how big is the stall? If you do the drive train power loss your near 500+ at the crank wich is border line for that turbo. You can make that same amount of power with less boost with a mpt 70 if not more Iats will be down also. that mpt70 will cost you bout 5-600 dollars and can support 600 hp. But im couriois on the rest of the set up. and why it took 4.5k rpm to hit boost.
