Default New Tranny Question HELP PLEASE!!

well as some of you saw i posted losing my trans about a week ago....im waiting for Combination to ship me a new level one tranny and i just got my new converter (Vigilante 3200)....I was reading the Line Pressure post and i have a question...

The combination trannies come with trans go shift kits installed already. it would seem this would jack up the line pressure...now my hypertech is currently set at 1-2 shift up 2 mph and 2-3 shift up 2 mph plus the shift firmness is increased 50%.....the trans is a stock rebuild with the following exceptions...

corvette servo
kevlar band
Art Carr sunshell
13 Vane pump
"upgraded" clutch packs
deep pan

I'm already running a trans cooler obviously but its only a 20,000 (i forget the unit they measure these in right now) and the new trans comes with a bigger cooler....plus the deep pan helps with temps a little.

with the shift kit, HPP3 shift points altered and HPP3 shift firmness upped, IS THIS THING GOIGN TO BLOW UP ONE ME!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

BTW the car is raced RARELY but driven a lot....just about everyday...(mods in sig if useful)

PLEASE GIVE ME SOME INPUT IM GOING TO HAVE TO SELL THIS CAR IF I BLOW UP ANOTHER TRANSMISSION ANYTIME SOON!!!!!

BTW--naturally i can always knock the shift points back down and take the firmness increase out if necessary....if im gonna be running too much pressure with these settings, will taking them out be enough????

AGAIN I REALLY NEED THIS ONE TO LAST AWHILE.....

any help is greatly appreciated...

I would put the shift firmness on the HPP3 back to stock.

thanx....how about the shift points.....does anyone know if shifting the car is going to affect the line pressure and/or wear on the tranny???

EDIT: that was supposed to say shifting the car later than stock....

If you want your 4L60E to last a while:
keep it cool
keep the fluid fresh
Keep the cars weight down
Avoid 3 and 4'th gear WOT shifts
