LS7 build and install @ SCC GM ASEP
Here's a thread for a build we did here at the GM ASEP school for a buddy of mine.
The car is a 2002 6 speed Camaro SS and previously was modded with a full top end package, Kooks LTs, GMMG, and all the MM (mickey mouse ) bolt-ons to make 470ish at the wheels with OK torque around 410.
The new engine is full of goodness with a new honed LS7 block, K1 crank, Manley H-lite rods and pistons, all balanced to within .5g.
For the top we did PRC LS7 heads with Ti/SS valves, a comp LSR cam (249/263), Morel lifters, 3/8 pushrods and ported the stock LS7 intake.
The 90MM TB from the old motor as well as the EWP, Textralia clutch, etc.
The engine is done and being installed this week, the new semester starts on the 26th of August so we hope to have this done and tuned by the weekend.
Here's a few starter pics, I'm sure the owner will have more to follow!
This was the pre-fitting of the rotating assenbly- ARP studs reside here now.

We're getting close, here's the motor before it became covered with wire harness. And a little bit of elbow grease and sandpaper got the Stainless Headers looking nice. I will have one shiney *** stainless exhaust from the headers to the tailpipes....for at least a week. lol. Just long enough for some pretty pictures.
Freshly sanded both (one is a re-do), buffing wheel hasn't even hit em yet

Yup he still has it. Got a quickie Macco paint job and some chrome Z06 wheels on it. The paint isn't great, but for the price - a huge improvement over the shingle damaged factory paint. He runs Mr. Muffler on 17-92 in Sanford. Carl, the owner isn't there very often anymore.
