If it was hit and salvage title , for the right price I would of picked it up...

I coulnt find any when i looked, they was all on the other side of the country on copart and just destroyed....

But water damage is a risk, id would have to see the car in person before buying it . To risky to just auction buy it and hope its ok .

Holy crap that pinstriping is HIDEOUS!

Would be fun to strip that soggy interior and make it a full track car.

Water cars are bad and Cadillac water cars are worse. Anything electrical that submerged might work ok for a bit after it is dried out but you would spend a ton of time later on chasing electrical gremlins with all the modules in these cars. Would not pay 1/2 of that even though I am pretty sharp with automotive electrical. The printed circuit boards get a green mold on them or a white crust , not to mention all the unpainted brackets that get nasty rust quick and corroded sockets in harnesses that are impossible to reach unless you tear the dash out. In short , most water cars are not a deal even though they still look pretty.

My first 98 Camaro ss was a water car (Katrina). It's really not all that bad I think people just get freaked for some reason. My car was completely under water for a week I guess. I paid 750 for it from copart, stripped it down to a naked shell, tossed everything out including all wiring and dash and interior panels. Picked up a rolled over 2000 SS for 3200 (this was 3 and a half years ago too) with 67K miles and swapped absolutely everything over after a heavy pressure wash on the interior and exterior. It took less than a week to swap everything over and work out the kinks, Car had a new factory repaint and I swear you could not ever tell the car was salvaged. I daily drove that beaute for nearly 3 years until a buddy totalled it out. Point being don't be scared off by flood cars fella's. I would still have mine to this day if it wasn't totalled

paying a totla of 4k for a camaro is different then spending 13900 for the car to have to swap parts out because you coulnt find another donor car. water does horrible things to cars and with all the electrical options the V has. power everything......the only way i would buy this car is if the water damage consisted of leaving a window open during a thunderstorm.

+1 like mentioned above... to save 5-7k. No thanks. You couldnt find a donor for that. And you still end up with a salvaged title for the same price.

Guy needs to drop the price to 6-10k.
