what balancer do i need for a d1sc?
i see theres one specific for supercharged engines, whats so special about that one? Basically i need a ati balancer that i can bolt up the procharger pully to. Can i buy this one ( http://www.summitracing.com/parts/ATI-917277/ ) since i dont have a/c? Will the procharger pully mount to it? And if i buy this one will i still need to buy a hub?

The 917277 does not have the holes drilled for the blower pulley. The holes can be drilled, we've done it many of times. Here is the balancer that comes ready for the ProCharger pulley to bolt on to it. http://www.exoticperformanceplus.com...html?item=1899 Bob

You can use any of the LS1 ATI dampers as far as I know unless you have a/c. If you have A/C you run into problems with the newer ones not having the 6 holes like the older dampers have.
I am using the 917277 damper on mine with an SDCE drive pulley, it just used three bolts and I'm pretty sure the procharger pulley uses three as well but Bob would know better than anyone.
The 917277 comes with a steel hub, which is what you want.

The one I recently bought in the sale section is a older model with the (6) torks bolts holding the outter dampener to the center hub assembly. And the actual hub itself seems to be machined with the A/C pulley on the back side of the main dampener. It also only has (3) holes for the blower pulley to bolt to the face with.
Hope this helps.
