I have seats from a 2000 Firebird in my 87 Formula and they bolt straight in without having to change a thing....UNLESS you have the split rear seat in your 3rd gen. Then you will have to cut out the center pin piece.

I had Ebony 00+ SS seats in my 1992 Camaro (originally 2 piece rear seat) and the middle bar barely interfered with the single seat piece. Some people have even gotten creative and used the extra bar as place to brace nitrous bottles, car audio equipment (not that I'd ever do that lol). But yes, all seats from all F-bodies 1982-2002 are interchangeable. This is because GM used the same floor stamping for the floorpans throughout both thirdgen and fourth gen eras. Even the rear suspension is completely swappable between 1982-2002 F-bodies.

yes the 3rd and 4th gen seats are interchangeable, unless you have the rare split rear... :-)
