I found pictures of those tires on a Cobra, which looks real good.

I read up on these not too long ago on svtperformance and ppl had mixed opinions

---> http://www.svtperformance.com/forums...ag-radial.html

I've had greater success running a taller tire than a wider tire, the extra sidewall is key to absorbing
the initial shock when launching. I had M&H 325/45/17's and worked great on the street but they killed my gear (lost 3-4mph).

Yea, I saw the pics with that Cobra, sick car, and the reviews are definitely mixed so I thought I'd give em' a shot. I need a taller tire, and on the street they shouldn't be THAT much worse than my M/T's, I break those lose at 50MPH.

I guess 800RWHP and a stalled auto is a good test for tires, review ASAP.

I got 7,000 miles on my 315's... But I dont have 800 hp, so for you? For me they were great. But im sub 400whp too. For what its worth with a 3400 stall and say about 360rwhp, I wasnt even testing them at all.

And also they are wasted after that 7k, figured they would be, was hopeful for 10k but not gonna happen the way I drive. 4 or 5 trips to the track, and regular daily abuse. Im not easy on tires.

One thing to consider, Toyo is NOT new to the sticky tire game, just the specific drag radial, they have been doing road race tires for many many years.

Im gonna do a price comparison here soon on the m/t's and the toyo's to decide between the two. But I would buy them again no prob.

I don't really care on mileage, just hookage, if they hook decently on the street, I can get an extra 15mph top speed 3rd so that'd be nice. I've only driven this car 2k in 1.5 years.

All race tires suck in the rain especially at that width, my sumitomo's werent that great against hydroplane because of the width, but all the drag radials have such little tread they dont cut water well. So if you wanna go fast in the rain you need skinny street tires. The Toyo's are quiet and well mannered though outside of that, they hooked very very well for me.
