Sure no one will see it, but atleast its a constructive way to spend your down time. I know when i get really bored i will go and just stare at my car until i come up with something to do with it. Post some pics of it done man. Then atleast some people will see it

True, but I consider it part of taking care of a vehicle. If you let dirt, grease and other crap build up in places it will shorten the life span of stuff. I get under my car and clean her down all the time. People think im dumb, but then again they are taking their 2004+ vehicles in for new replacement parts because they think washing the out side of their car, cleaning the interior, and a regular oil change is taking care of a vehicle.

I have to ask: if the drive shaft is out anyway, why not change the u-joints too to save from having to drop it again in the future???

PS: When your bored cleaning/detailing yours, I will come and get you for the weekend, you can spend the weekend under my car in my garage, all of the beer, soda, water, whatever you want and all the food you can eat while laying under my car...LOL
PSS: We have a BBQ restaurant about a block away and when the wind blows...YUM, and a seafood restaurant too!

Looks good! That trannny must have taken some work... I polished my driveshaft too, but only to buy a carbon fiber one two weeks later.

why not pay attention to the bottom as well as the top?

leave the guy alone. he happens to like his ENTIRE car to be clean and look good, both bottom and top. it makes it nicer. he could get a set of the race ramps (http://www.raceramps.com) and show off the bottom at car shows. based on his mods it doesnt look like he's going to the track and its more of a show car. so i doubt the aluminum shaft will bust.

OP nice job on the trans and kudos for a very clean car.

Dang that looks good. I have polished on mine a lil before but never that much. I clean under my car once a year. Good way to keep the whole car in great shape, everyone always complements on mine when it is on the lift. How you get the trans like that?
