Where to buy a new shortblock?
So im going to be buying a new short block (built 347) within the next few weeks and i was looking at one from scoggin dickey or texas speed they are both about the same price but the texas speed short block looks like it uses stronger parts and i will probebly buy my cam and new valve train from texas speed so i may be able to get a good deal. Ive heard a lot of good things about scoggin dickey and texas speed i just wanted to get some options.

I purchased a long block from Scoggin-Dickey last month. They were great to deal with and shipping was fast. With that said, if you plan to purchase your valve train from Texas-speed, I would also buy your shortblock from them as well. This way they know what you have and could match everything up for you and if anything would go wrong, you only have to deal with one place. Plus you could possibly get a better deal and save on shipping. Just my .02

It has a breakdown of the options we offer in a short-block. If we don't have it in stock we can build one pretty quickly.

not that I know of, I think they are a fairly new sponsor here. Hard to beat a fully forged 427 shortblock for 3499.00 tho. I know it comes with eagle parts, but thier forged stuff is pretty decent. it should handle 600whp easily, much more than that and callies parts would be a better option.
