newbi buildin a V
so here it goes. im in BC Canada, i have two cts-v's now (salvage)and am starting to make one out of the two. one is an 04 with the front right corner smashed and the other is an 06 with the interior and the doors stolen off of it. they both run but the 04 has some front right suspension and frame damage.
which motor would be better the ls6 (24k km)or the ls2 (40k km)? pros/cons?
il have the cars striped down and drive trains out by the end of the week and am looking to find out if there is any components that would be beneficial to take from the 04 and run in the 06?
which motor is best to mod? im thinkin a maggie (blower) down the road.
any input welcome

This is an easy pic... LS2.
why? if you decide to stroke it... its a much bigger hill to climb with the ls6.
382 - 383 with the LS6
408 with the LS2...
same 4"stroke.
You are starting out with that 4" bore... make it a square block!
the ls6 is a 3.90... 3.905 to make it a 383 with the 4" stroke... and you can not bore it out much further... unless you re-sleeve
with that blower, you get that much more air/fuel in and out.
hmmmm..

further more... do you really want to Maggie the thing?
everyone and their dogs *** here in Calgary does that...
so you race... and no one wins...
Also... maggie heat soak much worse than an air to air procharger. (see where im going with this)...
and that electric drill sound?? yuk....
had enough of that on the GTP.
EPP has that sweet F1A FMIC kit calling your name...
well worth the sweat to install...
unless you are the lazy type... do the maggie... 6 hour install.. done...
its just everyone does that...Davenport here in Calgary pumps that **** out til no end.
So you have Nothing different and the key... BETTER.
Thats just my thing I guess.
Also, let me know if you want a GC lowering kit if you have FG2 shocks.. i have a brand new kit but am not going to use it... Just thought i would give you first dibs since shipping within Canada is easier.
I could ship it to you for 560 Can
