Turbo is to small for the motor or the motor is to big for the turbo. Take your pick.

i've seen alot of people running 6.0 with these turbos. is it the compressor side that is too small?

your gonna want a T6 flange for your cubes. I run a Garrett T6 flange 74mm on my 383, the upper rpms the car puls like crazy...picked up 36RWHP from6170-6250rpm.

Mine is off a detroit diesels semi truck ...does its job great for a 300 dollar brand new rebuilt turbo!

twin's are expensive! I'm taking that shot to the pills as we speak. I almost wish I had never done it and I haven't even done the install yet! You'll be a professional parts collector before it's all said and done. Big singles give ya some lag and lag is traction. I fell for the ole twin deal and instant spool. I'll never hook on the street. Looks like I'll have to just play with the supra's on the interstate. Wait a minute there aren't any in Wyoming. Well look out cummins and duramax lol. Good luck nonetheless. Chris

if you already have the kit just get a bigger downpipe and a t6 flange, I wouldn't do twins because your gonna end up spend spending more money than if you went with a big single. A 88mm would be about right for your setup and 2 76's will probably be way to much.

If one 76 supports 800hp(estimate) than 2 will go for 1600hp. and exhaust from one side of your engine probably wouldn't spool a 76. Full blown race cars run 2 76mm's and go deep in the 7's. If your going to run 2 for the street 2 67mm t3's would probably be more than enough.

you know i've probably looked at those heads a hundred times and never noticed that they made those. i went back and looked and noticed the flow chart with the 3.900 bore. thanks for the heads up.

if you read this article on Tim Lynch's street car, i know it is a Ford, but he has a 362ci with twin 76's and makes 1308hp at the back tires. why wouldn't it work for my set up? http://www.musclemustangfastfords.co..._lx/index.html

I'm sure he has a lot more cam and heads than you can work in your budget. Things that will help spool.

he has a set of ported TFS Twisted wedge heads on it. I'm sure Tim and Steve Petty ground a custom cam for it. Why wouldn't those items be affordable? I had planned on sending my heads to TEA and having a cam ground for my set up.

Go at least 88mm turbo, look at the garret gt-88. The sponser forcedinductions sells it for $1249. Very good priced and will support 1400 hp flywheel and 1000 rwhp thats a t-6 flange and its a small $250 more than a tc-76 or 78. The t-6 flange will allow you to grow more for future upgrades. Go with the 1.08 a/r if your wanting it to spool faster and be more streetable. Just got off the phone with them and thats what they said for my setup which is similar.

That's WAY too much stroke for a stock sleeve AND ANY POWER ADDER. I'm surprised that no one has said anything yet. That thing is gonna drink oil like it's going out of style.

thanks man this is the kind of info i am looking for. I'm fairly new to GM motors. with a 351 windsor this wouldn't be a problem. i have a friend that has a 6.0 he wants to sell me. with the current turbo i have what would you guys recommend for the 6.0?

this is my first turbo build and i am trying to learn both the turbo stuff as well as the GM stuff. so if i ask what seems like a dumb question i'm sorry. i appreciate all of the info and help.
