Hello,

UMI Performance offers a very nice K-Member set-up for the 93-02 F-Body. It is designed to be used for street use and all types of racing. We also offer it in many packages with A-Arms. Summit Racing also carries this item along with many other dealers which I can put you in touch with, part #2320

Here is the link to the kits with A-Arms- http://www.umiperformance.com/catalo...cPath=7_137_96

Here is a link to the K-member- www.umiperformance.com/2320

If you have any questions please ask and I am glad to help.

Thank you!
Ryan

You shouldn't guess about the A-arms, some don't even gain
(lose) you weight-wise. And go heavy duty unless you show
up and go home on a trailer. You can't buy a warranty worth
spit, so buy some "design margin", at least.

Whats the intended purpose of the car?

There are quite a few options out there from street friendly to pure race only.

No matter what you do I suggest going all chromoly to get as much weight savings as possible. It's a little more money but worth it.

here is a list of sponsors and people to contact.

BMR - I use their K member and I don't have any complaints. They have been really helpful and have great customer service.

UMI - I've personally never used them but they seem like another great company. They offer a "beefer" street k member.

Spohn - These are somewhere b/w street and race. I've used their rear suspension components and I like them as a company.

Racecraft - more of a race piece. Pretty good weight savings if I remeber right.

MADMAN - another race piece and requires motor mounts.

Midwest Chassis - When I talked to Eric last he said he is starting to develop his own front suspension pieces. Again, these will probably be race pieces.

There are a few places to get you started. I would do some research before you decide on which one to buy.

How often will the car see the street? And are you trying to remove weight for drag racing?

Thanks!

Hello
Like Ryan mentioned above we do offer a few K Members! And if you were to do the complete K Member and A Arm modification it will save you 35lbs and if you went with the chrome moly A Arms it will be about 42 lbs total. If you have any other questions feel free to ask and I will be more than glad to help!
Thanks
Brad

Hello,

Sorry my last post had the incorrect part #. The part # with the K-member and upper/lower A-Arms is FBS002 seen here- http://www.umiperformance.com/catalo...roducts_id=146

You can then add the Chrome Moly A-Arms for $150.00 more which would give you max weight savings.

Let me know if I can help anymore. Thanks!
Brad

Yes you can use both. For motor mounts you can use the factory rubber motor mounts, Porthane Motion Control mounts or Energy Suspension mounts... the K-member is designed to work with all three mounts.

For suspension all stock items such as springs, shocks, rack will work as well as aftermarket items.

If I can help anymore please let me know. We appreciate the business

Im giong to go with the UMI RR member very shortly as well. The big decision maker for me was the fact that only UMI makes a Kmember you can jack from. All other manufacturers said you could but they wouldnt recommend it.

It is only offered in mild steel. Chrome Moly is more expensive and takes quite a longer welding procedure which would increase the price drastically.

Hope that helps,
Ryan

So that means that the Cro-mo is TIG'ed and Mild steel is Mig'ed
Yep, I could see quite a increase in labor time to TIG a K-member together.

Next question (you knew this was coming) if someone would be willing to Pay$$$ would you be willing to build a road-race version out of Cro-mo?

Thanks Ryan,
