Default And the 10bolt goes KABOOM! Carnage!

Well it finally happened. Last Wednesday night we had some nice cool weather and my car was running like a champ. After I realized how good she was running I couldn't help but have a little fun. Well it only took two hard second gear grabs and Kaboom! **** was loud as hell! It lasted me 5 years and I was ready for it to go. I have a 8.8 I'm putting together to go in it next. Should hold what ever I'm goin to throw at it. Here's some carnage pics...

And as she sits. (Its a dd and we've had a rainy week. Filthy)

Need to radius the edges of the teeth to reduce stress risers. done this on all my gears and have had only 2 failures, of course trans brakes and 13" slicks don't really help, but they lasted over 5 years before they broke.

They were installed correctly. They have lasted 5 years in a 400whp car, and the last 4 months with the juice, so well over 500whp, 6speed, with mcleod twindisk on stock 10bolt. It's a mater of time.

hd rears rob power and cost more money to make

a stock gm rear is fine up until you start making more power

and or get traction.

1. To reduce cost by using existing parts.
2. Extend MPG's as much as possible by using smaller mass gears.
3. Cause they were ******* stupid considering the application.
