Cutting springs/lowering the car... bad for launch?
My car has stock shocks (orange shocks?), SLP springs, and no front sway bar. I recently cut the rear springs to level the car out some and it seems to have a lot better weight transfer. If I go a little bit lower on both the front and rear, will it affect my launch/weight transfer in a negative way? It seems like lowering both, would give me a little more travel in the front, which I'm assuming is what I want, and not make the back sit up too high for transfer.
Is this correct thinking?

If you was wanting to go lower in the back i would just take out the rear spring pads. I would never cut my springs. but that is me!!!!.. Your stock rear springs should work just fine with out hacking at them. A good set of shocks front and rear adjustable would be a big help with a lighter front spring rate. The big question you have to ask your self is. How much time are you going to spend at the drag strip. I found that a good set of shocks all the way around a set of front springs and DR and a torque arm. Goes a long way with helping the weight transfer and getting good 60ft times that are solid round to round. Now to answer your ? Have your 60 ft times improved. Thats the best way to tell if your getting good weight transfer

Leaving them "stock" and not "hacked up" would leave me with an extreme raked stance.

if you lower the car, Its going to lower the height of the instant center. It all depends on your setup and horsepower if the cars going to like that. I would suggest some LCA relocation brackets. The 00' camaro in my sig is lowered 2" and cut a 1.44 60ft. footbraking and its stock internals.

I'll look into the relocation brackets
The car has less high speed vibrations now (had an annoying driveline vibration around 80mph-115), it's still smooth at 90mph.
Haven't taken it to the track again yet, to know if there's an actual difference.
