The one pictured is definitely not the right size, but the picture is probably random.
I would be concerned if it was hardened though. The bell housing bolts in the 4l60E require a great deal of torque to break loose, and will snap conventional bits.
If your only doing 1 trans, I would see if a local trans shop would remove them for you. If not, get a good bit. It does not have to be the snap on, but get one from a transmission parts supplier that was made specifically for the 4l60E.

Yes, the correct size is Torx Plus 50. From the description, that is the right size.

I was worried that it's only $5. I don't want to have it snap then wait 5 more days for a new one to come in. I'll see if craftsman makes one, I'm sure that'll be a bit more durable and not cost the $30 that the snap-on one costs.

The correct part# it FTX47E from Snap-On. It is not a 50T. The teeth are rounded not sharp, and is designed for these bolts. I only paid 18.00 from my Snap-On man. Another piece of advice: Take a BRASS DOWEL and hit the sides of the bolt heads, not to damage the center, a couple of times and break loose by hand with a large breaker bar one turn, then use the impact gun. The impact usually breaks the Torx bit. This will require a buddy to hold the trans while you "break" the bolt loose. You pay for what you get!!!
