Default Do I need a Tune

My car's computer has been modified before. I just this week added Long tube headers and a Y-pipe. My question is will this make a big enough difference as far as the ecm is concerned to warrent me having the car retuned again. Any info will be appreciated. Thanks to everyone in advance.

well who tuned the car? Did they use a dyno or a wideband? Did they street tune the car? Do you have a scan?

Either way, you will see maximum gains by tuning for the headers. Is it required? no....will it help? yes

ok thats what i wanted to know. He told me the name of the shop in South carolina that did it I dont remember who it was. Yes it was done on a dynojet dynomometer. Ive had a local tuner look at it and he said it was a little on the safe side under cruise conditions and pretty aggressive under wide open. car ran good with this tune without the headers going a 8.48 in 1/8th mile and 12.91 in 1/4 mile respectively. Hoping the headers help a little bit.

let me ask you this, do you plan on putting a lid, cam, heads or intake on the car? If so, you might want to wait till you do those things or you'll have to have it retuned yet another time to take full advantage of the mods.

If you have a lid then headers and y-pipe aren't your only mods. This is stuff I need to know, a lid will affect the maf calibration. Anyways, it's up to you, you probably don't "need" a tune but it probably will help.

The lid has been on the car the whole time. it was tuned with it when it was done before.
