Default 2010 Camaro Muffler Deletes and BRAND NEW 4" Tips...

Thanks to Derek (transambandit) for the use of his GORGEOUS 2010 CGM 2SS we developed a muffler delete today that uses 4" DOUBLE WALL stainless steel tips (only other company that makes these tips is Magnaflow and DEALER cost is $150 EACH). Still setting up the jig for production so I don't know pricing yet but we'll offer them with and without tips in aluminized or stainless steel piping and will come with all the clamps so Joe Blow can do this in his own drive way...

Here's some sound clips...

Here you can see our new splitter as well...

Thanks again Derek!

Looks good, will they be mandrel? The only thing I would change is get a tip with more of a slant so it flows with the curve of the bumper, but still, they look good.

The CGM one that was at dyno day was through CATS only, sounded pretty good I think. Were you there when it was dyno'd?

It's the same thing SLP is doing with their "Loudmouth" system & that sounds great. They have sound clip on their site here: http://www.slponline.com/view_product.asp?P=31211

I can't imagine why 6LE's system would sound any different. Looks like a nice set-up & he is using a better clamp to connect to the old system along with the pipe being all one piece.

I'll get a sound clip, it sound AMAZING. WAYYYY better than stock and IMHO for two reasons...

1) Mufflers at the END of the exhaust sound horrible to me. Gives a car a tug boat sound...

2) It isn't just through cats. There are factory resonators on the car before the IRS (where the mufflers should be) so it is actually like the exhaust on my car (duals with H-Pipe and two LM1's before the axle).

It isn't loud either, just throaty now...

I always called it "Resonator only", which IMO is the best/cheapest route to go for exhaust. It usually sounds great to boot, can't wait for a clip!

The car dropped about 37lbs by using this kit ! No sound clip yet

They are ON SALE NOW though (literally on sale, I'm doing a GP where you get $50 off regular price and shipping is included so I'm pretty sure we're the cheapest on the market)...

Looks good! Great for somebody wanting JUST a catback. Throwing a set of headers on there would make that system way too loud for driving regularly.

Muffler deletes sound GREAT on these cars. I went on a canyon run with a 2SS (I think) that had muffler deletes.

Actually not really. The stock system has cats and resonators AND the mufflers we took off.

To me, with the delete pipes, it sounds like a stock LT1...

Not to mention if you had an earlier version (when they still had those huge expansion chamber/boxes, our rental 2010 had that) it is even quieter...

Good idea of what it probably sounds like, this is a stock Lt1 with muffler deletes.

As stated before, 5th gens have resonators in addition to the cats IN ADDITION to the mufflers. So removing the mufflers is actually beneficial to the sound (mostly) and it is nowhere near "too loud". I think it sounds great.

Me too.

Not really. A 5th gen with muffler deletes is a lot quieter than that.

So I can reference what you did Mark, what does a stock c/b look like on these cars? I would like to see all the components that you're talking about
