Fall Pictures & Summer Re-cap
It's getting below freezing here, and I don't have much time for the car at all, so I've decided the it's going away this Saturday. I grabbed a few pictures this afternoon since I've barely taken any of it this summer. These are not the greatest; still, I hope you enjoy.

Took the car out in April, and put some LOTB badges on, McNord/6LE gauges in and some new rotors/pads.
...and enough gauges to pilot a space shuttle...
Went to the track and did an anemic 13.2 @106. This is thanks to my shiftlight breaking and my needles not being in the right spot after the gauge install.
Tackled a Heads and Camshaft swap myself. First time I’d done anything of that caliber. It went well, although slowly.
Only major hitch was that I stripped the threads in my fuel rails.
(Getting ready to start it for the first time )
Drove down to Toronto to get the car tuned.
Found out I had burnt through my O2 wiring harness, so the car was unable to be tuned in closed loop. The stock MAF was almost maxed out and I seemed to have a valvetrain issue. I only put down 432rwhp.
Took the engine apart to find out my pushrods were 0.1” too long and bought a new MAF and Lid combo. I also was able to fix the O2 wiring problem.
For the rest of the summer I tried to email my tuner with datalogs of the car, but the wideband wasn’t working properly. I started using a new wideband but it is still having issues.
September 11th was a bad day. I got pulled over by the Ministry of the Environment and got tickets for not having my EGR. That was a $500 night. I have since put the EGR back on, for fear of them taking away my plates.
So the EGR went back...
Plans for next year:
-Finalize the tune
-Lower the car
-Adjustable Shocks
-Midwest Chassis Fab 9"
Hopefully it will be a better year!

Looks great Adam I know it sucks that the weather is starting to turn here to in Chicago.
My Trans Am will go away prolly last week October. I have 1 more track rental that I want to attend, then after that I am going to pay to have my car professionally waxed and buffed with a PC.. Since BRIAN won't fly to chicago

I have to say that I have always admired how nice your car looks. And it's cool to see someone working on their own car even though they have never done it before. Hope everything works out with the tune and all that. You're car is awesome man.

Adam, car looks freakin' great. DEFINITELY one of my favorite on the site. How did the heads/cam swap go? I've never done anything like that myself either.

Surprisingly I got my timing chain/cam gear to go on first try.
If you're thinking of doing it, let me know if you need a hand.

Good Job and Kudos on the engine work, way to take the bull by the horns! Its refreshing to see a younger person with good mechanical skills! My son in law is 20 and he cant even check the air in his tires, he thinks imports w/coffee cans hanging on the back is cool... his idea of an oil change is going to wal-mart
PS-Pic #4 is da bomb, a real calendar shot!

Great write up! Again I will say you have one of the nicest cars here, and without a doubt the BEST Formula!
How did you get stopped and checked for the emissions stuff? Did they just suspect it and checked? Man that SUCKS!
I didnt even think about mentioning my run in with the law down in Daytona on my "re-cap" on the other board! I wish I had video of that!!! Between Cecilia and myself we have paid over $800 in fines this year! lol
