Default Belt Slip What have you done to fix it and why?

I have a F1A on my nova with an 8rib pulley setup. Its a Divorced drive. I was just wondering what you did to cure you slipping Issues. I am tying some new things to help out I will let you know my results. In the mean time post up what you guys are doing to solve your problems. Here are some solutions that I have found.

Short of going to a cog drive set up. I know the Vortech guys in the Renegade drag racing class don't like the coated pulleys cause they eat up belts...

I will post up pics of my "Modified Pulleys" in a little bit.

SDCE has a tensioner setup, but it is ridiculously over priced. I have a 3.1 Reichard Racing pulley and I'm VERY impressed with it.

I bought my procharger kit from SDCE with their tensioner on my J bracket and have never had a belt slip issue. It is pricy but not as much as a cog set up. Also is your car a manual or auto trany? If its a manual the price for the cog setup goes up even more.

How would the price of a cog set up go up if it's a manual?

From what I have read the pully on the blower has to "free wheel" like the rear sprocket on a pedal bike. Due to the larger drop in RPM's that a manual trany gives you VS a auto trany.

Aster made this setup that is very nice looking: https://ls1tech.com/forums/forced-in...m-bracket.html

Last time I checked, he could put together other kits for cheaper than an SDCE setup. Not sure if he's still able to resource all the parts anymore, last I talked to him was about a year ago, but it'd probably be worth checkin into.

Did you by chance try out his bracket with a stock fbody waterpump? Sorry if I've asked you that before, I am trying to ask everyone I can find who is using it.

I put one of the SDCEs on my car & have no slippage anymore. And we just installed one of Asters on my neighbors car (402 with a D1) & it looks like it should work fine, haven't tested it yet tho....
