Default PT88---3.5" downpipe okay?

Will a 3.5" downpipe support 850whp without causing back pressure issues on a pt88? Im sort of space limited and that extra .5" would make fitting the downpipe alongside the engine MUCH easier. When does a 3.5" downpipe become restrictive?

I would take it as far as possible with the 4" and then reduce at the point that you need it in order to fit. Should be able to hit 850 rwhp if everything else is right.

4 inch will work but you have a v band clamp kit on it so that is why. Mine did not have a vband and was 3.5 inch.

I was going to run a gt4292 which has a 4" vband also, but there is absolutely no room for the downpipe on these kits and I didn't want to neck it down either.

Edit: pt88 uses a 4" vband

mine was 4 bolt flange look at the link above. PT88 is a T4 flange not offered in a T6 unless something new.

like above says nothing about a 4 bolt exhaust housing nore does it say anything about 3.5 downpipe. I have a PT88 and its 4" Vband exhaust, 3" outlet, T4 flange and 4" inlet
