Default Hardtop Pillar Pods... 6LE come in please

I am pretty sure there are still no hardtop pillar pods being produced anymore. If I am wrong, someone please let me know.

This is where you come in 6LE. Is there anyway you can produce these for us lowly hardtop guys if enough interest is generated?

Would any of you hardtop guys be interested if 6LE can produce these?

Only problem is for me to do it I would have to have it done in fiberglass (injection molding is WAY too much money to spend on a project like this).

It would look a little different texture wise and mounting might be an issue.

The best thing I could offer would be a service where you send in your factory piece and we mold the gauge pods into it for you...

Can't a T-Top Pod be trimmed pretty easily to fit a non-t-top car? I would think all you would have to do is cut the end where it screws into the piller off. Then attach it using push pins like you do at the bottom.

I have heard of that being done, but have never seen the finished product. I just thought that might look a little tacky with the line where it connects.

If someone has done this, and actually made it look good I would like to see some pictures.

I might be interested in this. What would the pricing be, and what kind of turn around would I be looking at?

I did it on my '98 z28, the new owner is a member on here but I don't think he gets on much. It looked alot better than the tack on type gauge pillar pods that just attach to the middle of the stock pillar. All I did was cut it where it meets at the top, I thought it turned out really nice after I color matched the pod to the stock graphite.

Depends, what are we talking about exactly? Do you want a one gauge pillar grafted on, two, three...?

I would want 2 pods grafted on.

The guys that are talking about cutting up a t top one... I have a dual pillar pod for a t top car sitting in my garage. Do you cut both the hardtop, and t top pillar, and let one slightly overlap the other? I am just trying to see how it would work, although it seems like it should be a pretty simple concept.

I'll check and see with a couple of different people I work with and see who would want to do it. Basically, I would require the customer to:

1) Send a stock pillar...

2) Send whatever gauge pod they want grafted on with it...

Amount of gauges won't change price as long as there is still just two piece to graft together... Know what I mean?

E-mail sent to my guy. So, who has the parts and some spare cash in hand to be the first and get it done for my cost?

I will do it, but what is the cost going to be? Any idea yet? What if I sent you the T Top dual pod pillar, and the stock hardtop pillar. Could come one cut the t top one and then graft it on. Seems like it would fit the best.
