Default Anyone Weighed Their Full Power TA Seats?

Didn't find an answer in the reduction thread. Any help would be great! The replacement seats I'm looking at are 29lbs each but I'd like to know just how much weight I'll be shaving off!

TIA!

Mark

I will tell you they are heavy as hell in comparison to a camaro cloth seat. I'm interested in the actuall number though.

Okay , that makes sense because my friend is usually very accurate in his statements.

I know that my Z seats[cloth]weighed nearly nothing compared to his!!!

I just weighed my Camaro power seat and it is exactly 40 lbs. So it definately MORE than that.

Were they cloth? Power or manual?

Thanks!

Heavy as hell. I have full power T/A seats in my car. I know I easily gained 50 lbs over the Camaro seats. When you unbolt them from the car and try to pick them up, it almost feels like the bastards are still bolted down lol.....

I'd venture to say that the driver's seat weighs 70 lbs easy...

do they sell anything that looks kind of like a stock leather seat but with no power anything? i would love to drop all the weight but all i see are bright red/yellow momo seats and things like that. in a some cars they look good but in certain color cars they just look tacky imo.

Corbeau has some nice light seats that are grey with black "leatherette" in the wear areas.

OK, I went and weighed mine since it was out of the car anyway. These are home scales so take these numbers with a grain of salt.
Me - 210
Me & seat - 248
= 38 lbs
Scales are a little light so I would round it up to 40 lbs.

Les
That is the passenger side seat.

I have had mine out many times. I agree with the ~40 lbs. for the passenger seat, 45-50 lbs for the driver seat.
