what tint?
What tint are you guys running? Im going to be getting the car tinted, the rear is tinted, but not a whole lot. Im going to do the windshield as well (I live in AZ) and dont want the dash to get destroyed. I was thinking 15% side windows, 20% front and rear. What do you guys think? our tint laws arent ridiculously strict but I have heard/seen people made to peel their tint

Sounds like you have a good plan. I have 20% all around on my car. I wish I had 5% but I would be getting haselled for that constantly. I've already gotten one ticket for my tint. I like people not being able to see into my car and what I'm doing. That's why I wish I had 5%.
My car with 20% in direct sunlight.

looks pretty good, thanks for the pic, I dont like people being able to see into my **** either so I think Im gonna go a little darker than 20, I realize thats in direct sunlight but I think 10-15% all the way around I should be good.
Anyone else with pics of maybe a little darker??

get the darkest on the back, 5%. i dont know about AZ laws, but i know in ca the back isn't illegal, so go all the way there. 5 on the sides are a bit unneseccary, 15-20% should be good for the sides. and only do maybe 50% on the front windshoeld. and paint your t-tops black or get some shades for them
with my setup, 5%in back, 15% on the sides, Painted black t-tops, i get practically NO light inside even with the sun at its highest. if you get this plus windshild you should be just fine.

I've got 25% on the side windows (darkest legally in Texas) and 15% on the rear BUT if I could do it over again I'd go 10% all the way around, and in your case 50%-70% on the front window.
Keep in mind that it can be difficult to see out the rear window at night if you go too dark!!

not the best pics. someone else asked for these and i just went in the garage and took a couple. i had/have the shades to put in the t-tops for both the T/A and my camaro, but the heat from the sun loosens the velcro that holds them up and they end up falling off over time. spraying them black keeps the light out 100%. during the day i get no light inside, and at night it's pitch black. love it

Thecobrahunter- Your back window looks amazing.
The shop that did my back window messed up the very top where the small dots are(lack of better term). It looks really crappy and only goes up about half way on the "dotted part." Anyone else have this issue?

20% on the side and 5% on the rear. I love it but its illegal here so Im probably going to go up to 20% on the rear here in the near future.
Also, you dont have to peel it on the side of the road. If you are that stupid to forgo your court rights then you deserve that.

dam, some of these set ups are lookin pretty good. Crimsonbird, yours looks pimp ****. I am thinking I will probably go 10% on the rear, and 10% on the sides and like everyone has suggested with a mellow 50% on the front, should keep the whole thing pretty cool in the summer and keep eyes out. I have the shades for the T-tops and love em.
also my car is a Cali car, and the salt has just demolished the glass... am I totally F-ed or can I use some sort of glass filler that wont cost an arm and a leg? its also on the T-Tops as well
also crimson bird can I get a side shot as if to look straight through the windows?

If you have full coverage on the car, call the insurance company and complain about the pitting and how it causes bad glare. Many companies will replace it free of charge with OEM glass.
If the car is a DD and you drive at night I wouldnt go below 20% on the side windows. Its difficult to see out the sides especially on some side roads that have no lights.
Also, 70% on the front is mighty good too. Just enough but not enough for the cops to really notice.

The only reason I'm going with 5% on the side windows is because I drive everywhere with the windows down, plus it's not my DD. I remember being happy when I first purchased the car since it has a good A/C and stereo. Now I could care less about those two things. My windows stay down 95% of the time and the LS1 is all the sound I need!
