Default TR224 and Similar Cams: What Times?

Hey Guys,

Made it to the track for the first time yesterday and managed an 8.64 (1/8 mile, of course). I was hoping for a bit better time, so I was just curious what the M6 guys with similar setups were running in the 1/8th. I didn't expect to run the kind of times the car is capable of, but I figured I would be able to hit 8.5X. The weather was nice--cool and very little humidity.

My fastest trap speed was 87 MPH. Unfortunately, the track I went to didn't provide timeslips, so I don't know what my 60' times were. I was on street tires, full weight (actually had a passenger for most of the runs) and it was my first time, so I'm sure they weren't great, but I did manage to minimize spin a few times.

Thanks,
Josh

I trap almost 93 in the 1/8 with the TR224, but I'm an A4.

Loose the passenger and get some drag radials. Most people run those times stock.

My best with this cam was a 8.288 at MIR back in Oct. but the local track my best was like a 8.66 at 85...and this is as the car is driven everyday..no slicks, no nothing but F1's but also too i am still learning to launch with these street tires too ..my local track doesn't prep much and also street tire'd cars can't run where the rubber is on the track they have a cone in your way to make sure we won't mess up where the slick'd ppl run....but when i ran that 8.288 the 60' was a 2.09 ..

I have a cam but it isn't in yet. I did run the 1/8 without the cam though. My best time was a 8.04 @87 mph on stock F1's. I do have a torque converter and some bolt on's. I can't wait to test it with the new cam.

Ls1Joe,
If your reading this I am advising you to take action on this by Tuesday 12/16/03. The consequences for not taking action to resolve this matter will far out weigh $400. I am not threatening you physically, but if could please take a second to comprehend this.

1) I will be contacting my local police department reguarding the matter, along with myself Christopher Brenner (Cursed1) will be also there to persue his losses. Mail fraud is a federal offense, if convicted the minimum sentance is 2-5 depending on the severity.

2) I will be contacting my Uncle who was a Secret Service agent and who now heads up security for United airlines. He knows alot of people and lives in Virginia which isn't to far from North Carolina. His reach goes far beyond what most people can comprehend.

3) E-mail me with an action plan on when I will receive the rims and tires you promised and/or when I will receive my $400.00 in full. I would also like you to copy that e-mail to this thread. Failure to do so will result in the above. Please do not let it get that far. I am an understanding person but I am no fool, don't give me an excuse that you have the flu. I was in the hospital with bacterial pneumonia and I still returned e-mails and phone calls within a couple of days.

If you know Joe please get ahold of him. If he is in anyway not physically able to respond to me please e-mail me at gopmotorsports@yahoo.com.

Thanks for your cooperation,

Tim

Tell me something "Aintskeered." If I e-mail you and pm you 50 times and you never reply do you think I should waste my time and continue doing it???

Are you brain dead or just partly retarded??

Your 2 cents are not welcome. Try having someone steal $400 from you and see how you would respond to your own reply.
