Default Finally went to the track

Well I finally got to go to the track yesterday and put my m/t's. The weather was in the 70's and felt very humid.

Ok first run with street radials
stall at 2500 meduim hard launch
60' 2.21
1/4 mile 14.30
1/4mile mph 98.02

second run with m/t's and cut off open
stall at 2500 hard launch
60'2.14
1/4 mile 14.23
1/4 mile mph 97.94

third run with m/t's and cut off closed
stall at 2500 hard launch
60'2.15
1/4 mile 14.19
1/4 mph 97.84

Overall kinda of disappointed with the times . What u guys think?
Last time I went to the track I didnt have the m/t's , cai, and hp tunning and ran a 14.51 @96.65mph on a hot evening.

no worries lol...it means density altitude.....i didnt know what it was the first time i saw it on one of the other GP sites.

here is a calculator for it. i bookmarked it.

http://www.dragtimes.com/da-density-...calculator.php

the lower the DA the better your car will run.

Did you still spin alot off of the line? Or did the tires hook pretty well?

Did you go to the track in Edinburg? I've got quite a few friends that go there and run.

I ran a 2.15 on my stock tires with little to no tread left. This could be track prep, though.

If you can get your 60's down to the 1.9-2.0 range you will hit 13's... trap speed seems a tad low for the mods though.

Default update

I went last night to the track and finally got in the 13s. The temp was in the 50's this time.

First run
60' 2.12
1/4 mile 14.03
mph 98.52

Second run
60'2.07

Just ran twice since on the second run I hit the 13 mark I was very satisfed. I dont plan to take the ss to the track until I put another mod.

Congrats, you're times are right on par with mine before I did the catless downpipe. I hope you can get similar results when you get yours!
