4L60E and 600+hp
What would I need to build my tranny to handle ~600+rwhp? Definately a cooler, servo, shift kit, deeper pan, and stall. What else do I need to do?

Not being a jerk but probably because it's been covered numerous times.

I just blew up my 4l60e that JUST got rebuilt with parts supposedly able to handle 450+ rwhp. If you look at my sig you'll see that I am no where close to that number.
I too would like to know what I (or my shop) went wrong.

The big issue is that it takes more than parts, You will not every vendor here has some really storng cars running there units, But you will also note that each ussues different parts to get there, While parts do indeed play a role the fact is the build itself and the little tweaks and mods each builder has learned over the years to make them live.
I have seen over the years many post like this and unfortunatley I have seen more failures than successes in this area. If your going to build your own thats cool look at parts listed for the various vendors and you should get a good idea of wwhat you need in that area, And if this is for a learning experince and not to save money I would say go for it as long as the cars not a daily driver and you have lots of time and pateince on your hands.

It's a weekend ride and probably only gets driven about 1200mi. a year. I'll have until about April of next year to have it done and I'm the most patient person you'll ever meet.

Red Eagle clutches
Kolene steels
Carbon wideband
29 dual element sprag
Transgo HD2
Billet servos
No yoyo high rev pump slide spring
Vig 2800
28k cooler
Stock planetaries
I know there's more that I'm forgetting, but I set the 3/4 clutches up @ .015. I have between 100 and 200 passes and around 15k miles on this build and the pan hasn't been off. I accidently launched in 2nd gear on a 200 shot without killing it (1.60 60').
