Default 15x10 tire options (anyone try 275/50/15?)

I have 15x10" wheels out back and have always run a 295/50/r15 street tire.

I am really wanting some drag radials but do not want a narrower wheel since chevelles look funny with them IMO.

I can't find a drag radial that is a 295/50 size, I really want to keep the 26" diameter for both clearance and aestic reasons.

closest thing I've found is a 275/50/15 (NOT 275/60) which is listed as 11.2-11.5" section width, 10" tread width

jegs says recommended wheel is 7-11", summit says 8-9.5"

only other thing I've found is a 325/50/15, which is both too tall and too wide to fit my backspace and not look retarded

does anyone have any pictures of a 275/50 drag radial on a 10" wide wheel? any other ideas? am I going to have to buy a set of smaller wheels for track use?

those look pretty good actually...have any more pics?

I'm looking more to the BFG or Nitto for their tread pattern (they look like they'd be better for a car that does see wet pavement every so often)

A 275/50r/15 tire fits best on a 10" wheel. Thousands of people run them.

sorry those are the only pics i have on this computer. the tread sits flush with the rim, and the sidewall bulges out slightly. they look like they should be on that rim

my car is a daily driver, the et streets are fine for rain i just wouldnt trust them at low tread or over 60mph in the rain on the highway

I ran that size and have a buddy running that size now on a 15x10. Look way better on a 10 inch wheel than they do an 8. I say do it!
